Romance/Action Adventure/Military Romance
Three best friends - everyone on the SEAL team called them The Stooges. A little wild, a bit crazy, always fun to watch. And deadly in the war arena.
Lucas Branson, navy SEAL, tough, meat-and-potatoes, straightshooter-to-the-max is one of the three confirmed bachelors. He meets Kit-Ling, also from a family of tough men, and yeah, maybe this relationship business befalling all his comrades isn't that bad after all. But then, on a secret assignment overseas, things become complicated when he bumps into Kit and her media crew looking for information.
How is Lucas going to stop his team's mission from becoming public? How is Kit going to work around self-interest and hard-hitting news? In a land whose borders and politics are nebulous, where danger explodes without explanation, where only warriors survive, Lucas and Kit must fight for their love and ultimately, their lives.
Warrior Crossfire Book 5 (Audible Audio Edition) Gennita Low Kevin Foley GLow World Books
I have been waiting for Cucumber's story since I first saw his name and... I. Am. Not. Disappointed. Gennita Low knows how to write about strong men and woman, action, humor, adventure, and she knows her way around a steamy, hot scene between her H/h. And I mean hot and steamy.But...
She is a great storyteller. She takes the reader outside of their comfort zones. How often do you read a romantic novel set in foreign countries that are not America, England, Scotland, or Ireland? In “The Warrior” Gennita takes you to the Pakistan-Afghan border and create such a world that you can "see" where Lucas and Kit are. You can feel the intensity of their individual purposes for being there and why they are doing what they’re doing. She brings the reader into such a “different” world that you can feel the complexity of a foreign society and how an American character has to be cognizant and respectful of the rules/laws of that land. This story will make your blood pump from all the action, but it also teaches you something about different people and how others live and struggle to survive and it's all done in such an entertaining way that you don't realize you're learning so much at the same time.
I was on the edge of my seat through most of the book, but just when I thought I couldn't take it another second, she writes something humorous (let's just say, I hope you like chickens) and adds such a human element to the intensity of Lucas and Kit’s struggles.
Her women characters are always strong and soft, and smart with a healthy dose of common sense. I cheered for Kit (and the other female characters you’ll meet – and trust me, they are interesting). Heck, I wanted to *be* Kit. She knows who she is and she shows it. Plus, the relationship between the Stooges is awesome. These Seal men’s lives are so intense, but when they can relax, they have fun and are silly and jokesters...they are truly "living" while not fighting for justice. Awesome.
I'm just such a fan of Gennita Low's work and I can't wait for whatever comes next (but I sure hope it’s Shahruk’s story).

Warrior Crossfire Book 5 (Audible Audio Edition) Gennita Low Kevin Foley GLow World Books Reviews
Gennita Low is a FANTASTIC writer! She always surprises with the story line and I'm not easy to surprise. I read and reread all of her books often because they are just that good. Warrior is no different. I have been really excited to start reading more about the Stooges and see what she had in store for them! Cumber is one of my favorites, and one of those strong silent types and yet you know he's got a whole lot going on in that brain of his. Kit is the perfect woman to draw him out and of course, win his heart. They both have certainly met their match! The storyline was a great read full of fun and twists and also full of past characters popping in and out from Ms. Low's other novels. I loved that as well, not only is it nice to catch up with my book friends and see what they're doing now, but it's a clue to where we're going with the next book. I can't wait!!
Another great addition to the Crossfire series! I don’t know how she does it, but Gennita starts out with a good amount of humor and weaves it in throughout the entire story. Things get pretty intense for the SEALs once they are deployed to the Pakistan/Afghan border. Kit is there doing her job reporting, and Cumber is more than just a little surprised when he runs in to her in the middle of a war zone. Then Murphy’s Law takes over, and bad things start to happen.
Enter a few agents from the past, to give us our fix on what they have been up to and hopefully lay some groundwork for another book in this fantastic series. I will say that no matter what Gennita writes, as long as Sir Jed makes an appearance, I am a happy camper – which I am! Warrior really gives us an honest accounting of what life is like in these war torn countries, and the atrocious acts the citizens suffer on a daily basis. It is a good thing this group of guys know how to enjoy their down time! I will never see the color pink in the same light ever again!!
When I saw how long the book was, weighing in at 198 pages, I was a bit disappointed. However, every one of those pages stuck to the story line and told another fantastic story in the Crossfire world. I was not one bit disappointed by the time I turned the last page. As others have stated, this book could be read as a stand-alone, for those of you new to Gennita Low’s books. I would also venture to say that it will have you quickly buying up all the others to find out what you have missed out on!
